About Us

Keith Knarston B.Sc. (Surv.) Otago; MNZIS,

Office Manager

37 years a land surveyor, Keith Knarston brings a rich, wide and varied body of experience with his work – experience that has taken him as far afield as Egypt.

The son of a farmer, Keith chose land surveying because it combined both mathematics and outdoors work. Since completing his studies at Otago University, he has worked on projects like The Tongariro Power Scheme, as well as assisting in the building an entire town – to accommodate 100,000 people – for US Aid in Egypt.

His work in Egypt included writing a land surveyor’s manual, which has since been translated into Arabic.

Keith has specialised on the North Shore in a wide variety of project disciplines, including land development, subdivisions, and problem solving development of difficult sites such as landfill or steeply sloping areas.

When not working, Keith enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, fishing and dabbling in the odd watercolour when he has the chance.
